Saturday February 28th was a beautiful day and a great night for a BMCU get together at the old St. Paul’s church. This was one of the largest turnouts in memory. There were all kind of tasty treats and things to enjoy, I doubt anyone went away hungry.
The planning session was opened with the business of filling vacancies of retiring BMCU officers. Andrew Frink stepped up to fill the Webmaster / Membership Director position. Marty Van Nood will continue as ex-checker. Mitch will stay on as Quartermaster. No changes were made to Board members and we are still looking for a new Governor General. If anyone is interested in giving this a try, please contact any of the BMCU board members. Believe it or not, there is not that much to doing the job. You will be contacted occasionally regarding club business, events and opportunities. Stand up to say a few words at some events. Ask Marty to pay a few bills and that is pretty much it! Of course all the benefits and prestige of being a BMCU GG is priceless!
We are also in need of several folks to volunteer to head up a few of this years driving events. These events are pretty much and “Auto-Pilot” thing, we just need someone to be the point of contact, maybe check for road conditions or closings and usually a short story about the event. Pretty basic!
Check the updated Lucas calendar for the updated information of this years events.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity of serving you these past three years, I am looking forward to another great year of enjoying our cars and hobby!
