The Sunday drive to Tabiona started at Hogle Zoo with a very nice turnout, John Hermance dropped by to send his best wishes just back from vacation. We started up Immigration Canyon at about 9:30 a little up the canyon going around a turn you could feel the temperature drop for a very pleasant drive, at the bottom of Immigration Kevin and Marie Cowen were waiting to join us in their Healey. Heading up I-80 to Silver Creek Junction for a quick stopover at exit 146, we then met up with Richard and Heather Bowen in their Mini. Going South on Highway 40 to take the SR-32 turnoff we followed the road overlooking the Jordanell Dam.
Proceeding East on SR-35 we were treated to some very beautiful scenery before going into Francis, Woodland and on up towards Wolf Creek Summit. We found a turn around to picnic at it was just like it was made for us with a half circle of large rocks for us to sit on and a little bit of shade over us to cool things down. We continued to motor up the canyon reaching the 9,000 foot summit Going through the pastoral areas of Hanna and Tabiona Stopping for a break in Tabiona the decision was made to turn around and go back the way we came.
