For a short-notice car show BMCU did quite well! We had 16 cars at the event and enjoyed a little bench racing on the cool grass under two easy-ups provided by Maggie of the Burger King. A couple of coolers of bottled water was also available for all of us. There was an Anhueser-Busch beer tasting tent (fruit-flavored beer!), face painting and a DJ with a wide variety of music. Kudos to Maggie for putting together an excellent car show event!
Besides being treated to a Burger King Comp Meal of our choice we were also surprised with trophies and participation medallions. And BMCU took home a few of the trophies! The show ran from 10:30 to 2:30 at which time some of us drove to the Hill AFB Museum to take in the wonderful aircraft on display. It was a very enjoyable day although a bit hot driving back to Salt Lake in an open Lotus Seven.
