Usually, after one of the BMC’s events, there is an immediate (same day) response regarding the drive. You may have noticed that there has been NOTHING posted regarding yesterday’s Chalk Creek Valley Drive.
Wondering if the drive really happened? Wondering if anyone showed up for the drive? Wonder if the drive got rained on? Wonder if the drive was just too long? Wondering if it was a fun drive? Wondering why you did not participate?
The answers to these questions are: Yes, Yes, No, No, Hell Yes, and, you’ll have to answer that one yourself.
The first Chalk Creek Valley Drive was a RESOUNDING success! Rob Foye had charted an excellent route on roads that the club, and many of the participants, had never driven. It was a beautiful drive through gorgeous scenery.
It was great to see the members who came to see us off. See you on the next drive. There were 19 vehicles and 30 members that enjoyed an exhilarating tour of northeaster Utah, all topped off with a scrumptious meal at Taggart’s Grill.
I’m going to leave the rest of the write-up of the drive to Rob, but I do need to say just a couple of things.
Great Drive, Rob!
This drive had our stops much farther apart than usual. This made for some fantastic touring and smiling faces.
I heard nothing but excited comments about where we went and the manner of the drive.
The comment by Kelly Honeyman, said it best. “It’s going to take three weeks just to get the smile off my face!”
