It started with the sweet sound of Martin’s bugle… as most events should start.
We had over 20 vehicles in attendance and just under 40 people and 3 dogs. A really good turnout. Even Roger (our Governor General who, by the way, was spotted driving a Japanese car) was impressed given the rather poor job I did of getting the word out to the membership.
The day was almost perfect, weather wise. Sunny and warm but not too hot.
We traversed Research Park, Fort Douglas, Federal Heights, the Mausoleum, City Creek, passing the State Capitol and Temple Square then on to State Street and Murray Park.
Our group graciously accepted the praise and admiration of the people along the way. From joggers and bikers, fellow motorists to the homeless folks on the sidewalks. Everyone seems to love us BMCU members! And why shouldn’t they?
There was a first timer at the CRUISE. A pleasant young man fresh from SoCal. I would like to introduce and welcome Josh Spiker and his 73 MGB to the club.
Our adventure terminated at the beautiful and shady gardens of American Legion 112. Where we were treated like royalty with custom made to order BBQ burgers and each member’s favorite beverage.
All in all, a very good day!
See you at the Alpine Loop.
