Time for our the last drive of the season, up to Mirror Lake to see the fall colors.
We’ll meet at our normal spot at the east end of the Hogle Zoo parking lot at 9 am for a 9:30 departure. We’ll drive up over Emigration Canyon and hang a right to head down to the freeway. Up over Parley’s and on to Kamas, where we’ll stop at the Kamas Food Town for a drain-and-gain and also to pick up the necessary passes for the state park. From the stop we’ll head up over the Mirror Lake road and drive all the way over the pass to the actual Mirror Lake for our lunch stop.
Best to pack a chair just in case, as well as a good warm jacket. Pack a lunch as well, or you can pick up something at the stop in Kamas (there is a Subway and the Food Town).
Mirror Lake passes are available at the Food Town. If you have the National Parks senior pass or a current National Parks pass (now called the Interagency Pass) that will work too.
