I’m letting you know that the members listed below faithfully followed the two hard and fast Rules of the BMCU. First, they showed up. Second, they had fun.
If you decided not to go on today’s impromptu drive to Morgan, I must say it was your loss. The weather was perfect, even if it was a bit cooler in Morgan. Not to worry, for this group, it was top down touring all the way! When we reached Larry’s Spring Chicken Inn, they were ready for our collection of twelve vehicles and eighteen members. We nearly took over the whole dining area, but there was ample room for the other chicken connoisseurs that stopped in for some of the best chicken in Utah.
The day started a bit ominously as it seems the Zoo was having a HUGE Halloween celebration and every parking spot within over a quarter mile was taken. Since we are British vehicle drivers and used to having problems pop up, we just used the street, a little further up the canyon for our gathering location. Our LBCs made the best use of the small place and it worked out perfectly.
Our trip up Emigration Canyon was easy as there were hardly any bicyclists to contend with compared to previous drives. The road up East Canyon and past the nearly dry reservoir was almost like having the entire route to ourselves. Of course the scenery was spectacular as usual. It’s always amazing to see how the colors change the look of this area. It’s no wonder that this passage is one of the BMCU member’s favorites.
Enjoying the wonderful, late season weather and the scrumptious food, were: Dave Christensen, Paul Jaroch, Tim & Brighton Loveday, Roger Hemingway, Ron Christensen, Spencer Kellogg, Larry Farrington, Kent Jensen, Clayton & Sharon Merchant, Melvin & Mary Brown, Sam & Stacie Robinson, Donna Rich, and yours truly, Roger & Jill Davis.
