Welcome to our FIRST DRIVING EVENT of the season!
When: Saturday, March 27th
Time: 10:30am for 11:00am departure
Where: Meet at Maverik Gas Station2023 Redwood RoadSaratoga Springs, 84045
We will be taking the ORIGINAL ROUTE we have taken in the past.
During this pandemic time, we understand that many of the members are in the higher risk category, just because of age. We also know that many of us in this group have received the vaccination to help counter COVID-19. Although we recognize that the hazard for contracting the virus still exists after receiving the vaccine, there are steps to ameliorate the pathogen, i.e. social distancing, wearing masks covering nose and mouth, and washing hands, that we encourage everyone to continue to exercise. Bottom line: When participating in a BMCU event, we will expect and encourage you to wear a mask covering your nose & mouth, social distance (6′) and practice personal hygiene (washing hands).
It’s our 5th Annual Gary Meldrum Eureka Run!
For those of you that do not know who Gary is/was, well, he was the BEST Uncle a Niece could ask for! Years ago he brought me to several of these BMC riding events so I had the WONDERFUL opportunity to meet the most amazing people, which I can call my friends! Unfortunately, my Uncle went on his last BMC riding event to Eureka in 2016. He passed away two days later, on March 28th due to Heart Disease. Gary passed down his 1976 Triumph TR6 (better known as Molly) to me and my husband.
Cory I am so honored that the BMC dedicated this run in his name and to be able to drive Molly in his honor! He was such a WONDERFUL human being inside and out! And boy did he LOVE his cigars on these runs! Get your cars, lubed, oiled, and gassed up and ready to go!
To “B’s or Not to B’s? That WAS the question! B’s IS OPEN AND THEY KNOW WE ARE COMING!!! THEIR MENU HASN’T CHANGED MUCH.
The Forecast in Eureka shows the high 53 degrees sunny with patch clouds. Will be a great day! Hope you can join us for a beautiful drive, some fun, and to honor Gary.
REMEMBER: “DRIVE ‘EM, DON’T HIDE ‘EM”
See you Saturday! Cindy and Cory Wardell
