If you missed this event, then you missed a great drive, wonderful members, awesome homemade lunch and all in all, a fun time.
This was the perfect way to conclude the scheduled 2021 Driving Season. You have probably seen the pics that various members who were on the drive have posted here, on the BMCU website and Facebook page. The colors of the leaves take on a completely different hue when they are wet, which made the Nebo Loop Drive incredibly beautiful. If you have not seen the pics, you owe it to yourself to find them and take a look.
This event had it all: rain, snow, sun, amazing lunch provided by the Sorensen’s (those homemade sweet bread cakes were EPIC), light to no traffic (we had the Payson Lakes parking lot all to ourselves) and even free range cattle wandering along the road. Although most of us opted not to continue over the top of the Loop since the few vehicles we saw coming down had 4+ inches of snow on them, that didn’t detract from the excellent road conditions and fun we had. (Brayden and Savanna, just why were your windows all fogged up on the inside? lol)
There were members from Davis, Salt Lake and Utah Counties and where ever Kelly is now living. Enjoying the drive and hospitality were the following members: Bruce Oblad & John Davis, Steen & Arlene Sorensen & Bruce, Charles Edington, Paul Jaroch, Nghia Nguyen & “Elvis”, Larry Farrington, Ron & Kathy Jensen, Brayden & Savanna Parady, JD & John Parady, Kelly Honeyman, Dave & Janell Vezzani, and Roger & Jill Davis. Just about all of us had driven our LBCs which felt right at home with the weather.
