Most British clubs have fun social tech sessions, and this club should be no different. So here it is!
Generally heated garage, so temps should not be too bad.
I can provide cold waters, sodas, and plenty of skunk IPA beer in the garage fridge from previous parties. (I don’t drink IPA)
I don’t care what we do so No Show show ups can decide.
Here is the list:
MGB: Come grab parts, my wife just wants the back half to make a firepit seat. Something we can do is cut it in half and sort that out. (No engine or interior) The rest of it can go!
TR6: The kid I bought the TR6 wants to take it to Prom next month. He has never seen it in one piece and drive, which it is now doing. I plan on giving him a good car.
Front Suspension needs bushings replaced, ball joints, left wheel bearing, Brake lines, and some heater hoses. Overdrive needs solenoid I believe (I have not checked voltage further down the system yet) but will be disabled for the kid’s prom.
2000: 3 New door trims, this is not a fun job. I’ll most likely bang this out this week.
TR7 FI: Needs a leakdown test for #3, My kids and others autocrossed it hard last fall and hasn’t been totally happy since. Then head needs to come off and issue repaired.
Stag: Overdrive leaks due to crap aftermarket part. Transmission needs pulled and repaired.
Renown: Noise in engine since last Eureka run. Pretty sure it is a slightly bent rod at this point as I have pulled the top and bottom multiple times and can’t find noise issue. Noticed a slightly bent rod after putting it back together the last time.
TR7 V8 Lemons race car: Racing this summer. Need to replace front bearings, rear axle fluid, gasket, and work on rear brakes.
Atlas, TR3, and TR8 are ready to go!
I have the month off so this list will change as I work but I still have a Toyota MR2 on the lift for a few things. Now that it is warming up, I will start moving faster.
Come bend some wrenches, get to know others in the group (HUGE)… Basically Show up! Have fun! Looking forward to hanging and telling war stories, even if we only check one dipstick. Skiing and Snowmobile season is almost over, ready to burn some 4 stroke oil!
