Here is information regarding our visit to the former “Miller Sports Park” in Stansbury Park this Saturday. I’ve estimated about 20 people and maybe 14 cars may attend, but not all cars may be British classics.
We will meet at the Holiday Gas Station on 7200 West and just south of the 201 “freeway” (2474 South 7200 West) in the Magna area starting at 9:45 a.m. They sell ethanol-free “Blue Gas” if you want to fill up there. We will leave about 10:15 and get on State road 201 westbound and go to I-80 east for just a couple of miles, taking the first exit (Exit 99) toward Tooele (Hwy 36 south). After just a couple of more miles, we will turn right onto Hwy 138 east and follow to Sheep Lane, where we’ll take a left and go south to the Main Entrance of UMC. From there it is a straight shot to WERX45. Pete Mercier will try to get us on the track for a “parade lap” (not a speed trial!). Pete is planning on some refreshment for us.
I think this is all accurate. I will submit any changes that are needed. The above route minimizes travel on the freeway. I’m most comfortable in my LBC between 50 and 60 mph.
You may want to travel an alternate route or meet us there. Please let me know if you have any questions. I think this will be a very interesting visit for all.
Hoping to see you there!
