Greetings sportscar enthusiasts, I hope you will participate in and enjoy the sport of road rallying as much as I do. This event is a competitive event held at legal speeds on public roads with the object being to drive between two points in a specific amount of time without getting off course. This is a great date opportunity as every car is required to have a driver and a navigator. The event is open to all passenger vehicles. Awards will be 1st thru 3rd in a modern category, 1st thru 3rd in a vintage category (usually with a ’72 cutoff) various awards for a Jaguars based on Jaguar Club of North America rules and a Team Trophy for the best performance of three vehicles of the same marque. This rally will consume the majority of your morning and might wander into the early hours of the afternoon and run a bit over 100 miles. There are some helpful links listed below.
(Please let me know if I have left off any crucial information as my editorial skills are limited)
Should you not want to enter the event but would like to participate, we will need volunteers to help man checkpoints along the route. This is a fun way to get involved and see all the cars roll by. We will be having a Checkpoint worker training session at 3580 South 300 west in Salt Lake City at 6 pm on August 7th. If this is interesting, please attend and RSVP back to this email so I can do my best to have enough food and refreshments on hand that evening. Below is the rally info as it stands today:
