Its time to “DRIVE THE GOLDEN SPIKE”
Who: You of course! We are excited to offer the Last run of the season and also the Newest of our runs, so don’t miss out on being part of this inaugural event and be part the the picture to prove you were there.
When: this Saturday October 11th
Where: Southern folks Meet at 8:30 am for a 9am departure
Speedway gas station at 965 Beck Street, Salt Lake City
Northern folks meet at Fresh Market at 2044 South Harrison, Ogden at 10am for a 10:30 am departure
What: We are traveling to a national Historic Site which has rich ties to our Utah History. It is a fee area. so bring your national park pass BUT due to the Government shut down the visitor center is closed so it may be a mute issue but the access to the railroad Tracks is open and really interesting to see. Who knows what may be happening by the time we get there on Saturday.
Things to know:
- Weather is showing the possibility of rain so bring a raincoat, get rain X on your windshield and an umbrella.
- This is a PICNIC event and there is a wonderful covered area at the Site for lunch. So Pack what you want for lunch just like this last weekend’s Nebo Loop Drive. Note: we will be stopping at a Maverick so if you want to wing it you can get your lunch there before we head out to the site.
- As with all our events, we want to see you! so if you don’t want to drive your LBC in the rain, grab the daily driver and JOIN us for this final drive event of the year!!
