Once again Rich Weyland opened up his shop and grounds for BMCU members to enjoy and use his facilities and expertise as we work on our delightful cars/projects. The weather could not have been nicer, calm and temps up to near 70 degrees with some cloud cover. Perfect. Coffee was on and there was an array of bagels and sweets to enjoy that turned to brats and burgers on the grill around 1100 hrs with Chef Jimmy at the fire. Rich’s lift was out on the slab to free up garage space and there was a near constant stream of cars on the lift and in the shop. Dave Maxwell was holding a seminar in the shop on rebuilding the SU carburetor. The power washer was hissing out on the pad for all to use; there was a lot going on and a lot of attendees as well.
There were forty-two at one point, thirty-four signing the sheet and those were: Jim Stover, Mitch Hendricks, Barry Hanover, Rob Foy, Werner Prochaska, Bob Wager, Dave Maxwell, Kevin Cowan, Nicolas Monnier, Craig Mossberg, Don Colman, Michael Lyons, Barry Blackett, Jim Thorton, Dennis Guffey, Wes Himble, Al Gordon, Gary Lindstrom, John Stevens, Josh Stevens, Craig Welk, Pugs Pivirotto, Martin Van Nood, Wade Ashby, Rich Weyland, Kent Olsen, Jon Hermance, Rudy Vanderniet, Roger Gisseman, Craig Bartholomew, Robert Kelsch, Ron Christensen, Roger Davis and Paul Jaroch. There were more that did not make the list like Robert Norcross and Jeff Andersen.
If you have not been to Richie’s yet don’t be bashful next time. You don’t need to have a project and there is no structure but just show up. Breakfast treats are always welcome as are liquid libations for the cooler and there is a can at the grill table for burger and brat donations.
This may have been our best attended Tech Session yet so not to miss the next, eh? Meet your friends and make new ones.
(If I misspelled your name, a thousand pardons. I do the best I can from the sheet)
