KSL and Weather Bug threatened for rain the entire day, the ceiling was saying “No-Go” but Roger, Paul and 13 other faithful cared not and go we did from the Capitol to Kaysville, Ogden, around Pineview Res, Picture Postcard Ogden Valley, up and over the North Ogden Divide, through the farmlands out west and down into Roy to the Little Taste of Britain for their famous fish & chips. Turns out the temps were kind, the weather held and the clouds roiling around the peaks of the Front were dramatic indeed. Those enjoying this first of our yearly driving events were: Rob Foye – Jag XJS, Ron Jensen – Jensen Healey, John Progess – ’60 MGA Coupe, Mitch & Diane Johnson – ROO GTF, Keri & Melanie Bruce – ’69 TR6, Terry Rees – ’71 GT6, David and Ron Christensen – ’73 MGB, Roger Dotson – C5 Corvette, Roger & Jill Davis – Sunbeam Prelude and Paul & Emma – ’12 MINI “S”. Nothing hits the spot on a brisk day like this after such a run than real English fish & chips with a Guinness or Shandy.

And from Roger:
Fantastic cruise, today. I really enjoyed myself and I know Jill did also. Because of the promotion, we had an amazing turn out for a day which was supposed to have sketchy weather. The leading was great. No one got lost or left behind. The radios came in handy, also, to help keep us together, even when people started to head for home, at the end.
As for “A Taste of Britain,” what more can be said for Nick and Mandy? They are the consummate hosts. Even handed out Mars bars to every one for dessert!!!! It was cool to see our club pictures and info posted on their restaurant wall.
Thanks for a great “Cruise Around the Lake.”
