OK, let’s admit it. The weather guessers have no idea what the weather is going to be like on Saturday. I listened to three weather reports and received three different forecasts. Come prepared. I’m going to RainX my windshield. That is usually adequate to drive AWAY any nearby precipitation!
Here’s what we’re doing: This Saturday, Oct 1, members from SLC and points south, meet on the EAST side of the State Capitol at 9am for a 9:30am departure, north to Ogden and Rainbow Gardens. We will take a route that avoids freeways, but is efficient to get us to the meeting location for those from the north.
The northerners will meet at Rainbow Gardens (mouth of Ogden Canyon, see attached map) where we’ve met previously, at 10:30am. After the two groups congregate and have a humanities break, at approximately 11am, Pat & Donna will lead us the rest of the way up the scenic route to our picnic spot in the Monte Cristo Pass.
Please remember that this event is BYOL. (Bring Your Own Lunch) Hey, if you wanted a free lunch, you should have shown up on the Alpine Loop Tour a couple of weeks ago! BTW, If you weren’t there, you missed a great drive and tasty lunch.
If you are wanting club shirts, key fobs, or any of our merchandise, bring your cash as Rich will have boxes of BMCU products for sale. Everyone does have a BMCU decal on their window, don’t they?
Rumor has it that since this is our LAST scheduled driving event, there will be drawings for really cool prizes, also.
