Well its finally August. Or as I like to think of it…pre-autumn. The hot days of July are behind us and (hopefully) cooler weather ahead as we ease into the “BER” months fall (SeptemBER, OctoBER, …). And with ever so slightly cooler weather, its time to get the LBCs back out and make some tracks before the snows of winter put them back into storage. Two weeks from today on Saturday, 18 August, we’ll be headed to Ogden Valley for some fine barbeque on the lawn at the Ogden Valley Smokehouse (formerly Huntsville Barbeque).
Meet at the east end of the Hogle Zoo parking lot at 9 am for a 9:30 departure. We’ll go up Emigration Canyon and around East Canyon Reservoir then down into Morgan where we’ll pick up a few LBCs from way up the north end of Utah at the Phillips 66 station on North State Street near I-84. From there we’ll take the service road along I-84, up and over Trappers Loop into Ogden Valley and to the restaurant. Keep an eye out here and on Facebook for more detailed route info as we get closer to the date. Hope to see everyone there!!
