Once Around The Lake, 4/13

WHAT:      Around the Lake Drive and lunch

WHERE:   Ogden Canyon, Pineview Reservoir (the Lake), North Ogden Divide, A Little Taste of Britain

WHEN:     Saturday, April 13th

Kent, our Run leader, has worked to design a course that is both scenic and excitingto drive.   

He has arranged for the club to be guests at the best Fish & Chips restaurant in Utah.   All of this comes at no additional cost, with your membership.  All you have to do is show up, drive the route, purchase one of the awesome meals at the restaurant, and HAVE FUN!

OK, if you are in the Salt Lake City area or points south, gather at the Warm Springs parking lot, 800 N.  300 West, SLC at 8:45am.    Kent has appointed Roger & Jill to lead the southern group. They have a new route going north that eliminates many stoplights!  .  

Members coming from the northern parts of the state will meet at the mouth of Ogden Canyon in the Rainbow Gardens parking lot, at 9:30am.   Once everyone has met, Kent will lead us on his route, leaving at 10am.  Traveling up Ogden Canyon, we will go past Pineview Reservoir, through the scenic towns of Huntsville, Eden, and Liberty, before ascending the North Ogden Divide with its amazing views of the Eden Valley to the east and the Ogden Valley to the west.   Once back down in the Ogden Valley, Kent has created a NEW PROGRAM to lead us to A Little Taste of Britain:  We are going to CRUISE WASHINGTON BLVD!   I don’t believe that the BMCU has ever done this, as a group, in the past!   Now this is way cool!!!

According to our leader, this should get us to the restaurant just in time for lunch.  Kent has been in contact with the restaurant and they are excited that we are stopping, with our British vehicles, to chow down on authentic, British, fish & chips.
