Mount Nebo Colour Run
Saturday September 27
Travel was speedy and careless, with no bicyclists encountered, until the Dewsnups were spotted relaxing in camping chairs a few miles north of Elberta, next to Geraldine the Minor. They looked so content that we did not stop, and only learned later that Geraldine was experiencing front end looseness (better than rear end looseness, in my experience), and a son had been despatched from Delta to trailor up a stand by Britmobile.
At the customary picnic spot at Bear Creek on the Nebo loop the new Join BMCU windshield cards were unveiled, to tumultuous applause (OK, folks said they were nice). There and on the loop proper the colour show was impressive, if a bit muted due to the drought conditions, but was made more vivid by the cloudless blue skies. After enjoying several overlooks the group descended to Payson, said farewells, and returned home either by freeway or by retracing the Utah Lake route.
Attending were Dan & Sharon Forster, Bill & Julie Van Moorhem, Tony & Mary Ann Morgan, Bob & Valerie Lux, Connie & Todd Pixton, Mark & Joyce Noeltner, Mark & Karen Bradakis, John Progess, Wade Ashby, Larry Farrington, Ken & Patrick Gleason, Bruce Schilling, Bill Walton, Don Graves, Mike & Julie Schoonmaker, Cody & Dawn Black, Kendall & Connie Dewsnup, Gary, Sandy, Margaux Lindstrom.
