Miner's Day Parade

Another beautiful day in Park City was enjoyed by a small, but enthusiastic group of BMCU members.

The day started with the usual social hour at our usual spot (that is what the Park City Rotary Club refers to our spot at the top of Main Street). Most all of the BMCU participants were on time, which in itself is a very strange situation that we had to deal with.

The Parade was delayed about 15 minutes due to the “Rolling of the Balls”, a Park City rendition of the Running of the Bulls. But as soon as the crowds moved to the sidewalks the Parade began.

We ended the Parade with our usual reserved spot at the City Park where the music blared and the Games began. The one late arrival was Doug Wimer (without Ilene). Apparently he had left her with the TC over on Highway 40 due to – now hear this – a breakdown of the MG. Definitely a first for Doug.

We took care of his problem while the rest of the group enjoyed refreshment, burgers, and hot dogs.

Gary, Sandy and Margaux Lindstrom; Kathy, Floyd, Tammy, Darron, Elle, and Cate Inman; Julie and Bill Van Moorhem; Susan and Jon Hermance; Kathy and Steve Dougherty; Rob and Nan Green; Bob Jahnke; Roger and Jill Davis; Rich and Bridget Goodman; Jake Voelckers. Left on the Highway – Doug and Ilene Wimer.
