State Street Cruise: Sept. 19
BMCU Violates State Street No Cruising Zone Again
Despite prominently marked signs prohibiting cruising on State Street, BMCU once again proudly paraded down Salt Lake’s main drag, from the Capital to Sandy, destination Joe Chou’s Dairy Queen. (OK, the Mayor defines cruising as passing the same spot 4 times during the sensitive hours of 10pm to 2am, so we were officially innocent.)
Many traditions were renewed, including nice weather, a good turn out, shouts from passing cars of “had one
of those, never shoulda sold it”, and Joe’s Alaskan cuisine, featuring a graphic rendering of an (?) MGB. We’re
sponsoring Joe for a TV show, tentatively entitled Northern Exposure Meets Emeril. Joe donated a nice die cast
Spitfire model to raffle, and another attendee donated 3 large jugs of Zymol car wash.
Participating were Gary Lindstrom, Mitch and Diane Johnson, Larry and Mary Bishop, Mark and Joyce Noeltner, Kaye
and Kent Thomas, Roger and Jill Davis, Bob and Orlinda Mower, Rich and Velma Reeder, Jon Hermance, Clayton and
Sharon Merchant, Bob and Dixie Jahnke, Joe Chow.
