End of Season Dinner
And 50th Birthday Party
October 28, 2006
This year's End of Season Dinner and 50th Birthday Party was held at MacCool's Pub in Foothill Village. This was safely three days before Hallowe'en, so there weren't any Hallowe'en costumes worn, except by Michael Scoggins, who looked very important.
MacCool's is a British pub offering tasty vittles from the homeland (theirs, not ours), and liquid refreshments of many kinds, both with and without ethanol. They kindly set aside a seating area for us, and did an incredible job seating additional folks beyond our original estimate. Despite folks moving tables, addition of latecomers, and a general chaotic atmosphere (like all the best BMCU events!), the servers had no complaints or problems about generating accurate separate checks --- very impressive!
The 50th Birthday part celebrated all British cars in the club with a born on date in 1956. A few photos and car fragments were shared from member cars of that vintage. It was a busy night at Foothill Village (a victorious Utah football home game had just let out), so the hoped for special parking area wasn't possible.
Attending were: Gary and Sandy Lindstrom, Paul Jaroch, Michael and Mary Scoggins, Pugs and Diane Pivirotto, Andrew and Jennifer Frink, Mitch and Diane Johnson, Floyd Inman, Jeff and Nancy Porter, Gregg Smith, Bill Davis and Moni Schwaerzier, Mark and Karen Bradakis, Dan and Laura Maitzen, Susan and Jon Hermance, Grant Clayton and daughters, Rose Armstrong and Bill Brinn, Sue Cogger, Dion (Dee) Dostaler, Bill and Robyn Rhinehart, Fred and Darlene DeSanto, Anne and Dave Spendlove, Roger and Bill Davis, Mike and Sharon Bailey, Dave and Carol Marks, Larry and Margaret Farrington.
Jeff Porter did a great job putting this event together, which was the most well attended and enjoyable End of Season Dinner in recent memory.
