Heber Valley Air Show
Saturday July 8th was an opportunity for the BMCU to attend a new event (for us). The Heber Valley Air Show was a combination of vintage cars, motorcycles and various types of aircraft including some first rate war birds from World War II and the Korean conflict. We met at Mike Cherry's place first to gather all the classic cars that were to be displayed; Mike has a first rate car museum there. Then we proceeded to the airport. Car pilots were allowed to park on the flight line between the planes on display. Because of our positions near the runway we were in the best seats in town for the flying portion of the air show! You cannot help but get goosebumps when an old war bird with a huge Rolls Royce or Allison engine roar by! Those few members who attended had a great time! A special thanks and recognition should go out to Kendall and Connie Dewsnup for making it all the way across the state from the Delta area! Also in attendance were Doug Wimer and Mitch and Diane Johnson. There were a few other Britmobiles there that were not associated with the BMCU, a Morgan and a nice looking Midget.
